PetMood is a Chrome extension that shows animations of your own pet's photos while you browse. This policy explains exactly what data the extension handles. The short version: everything stays on your device, and we collect nothing.
All data is stored locally in your browser and never leaves your device:
chrome.storage.local on your device.
PetMood makes exactly one kind of network request: on first use it downloads
an open-source AI background-removal model
(briaai/RMBG-1.4) from the Hugging Face content delivery network
(huggingface.co). This download fetches model data only so that
background removal can run locally in your browser. No
photos, settings, browsing data, or any other personal information are sent
in this request or anywhere else.
alarms — schedules the periodic timer that decides when your
pet appears.storage — saves your settings on your device.unlimitedStorage — lets your pet photos be stored in
IndexedDB without the default size cap (you can add up to 100 photos).Because all data is local, removing it is entirely in your control. Deleting photos in the extension's options, or uninstalling the extension, removes the stored data from your device.
